Putin called Elon Musk a 'real genius' and said the pair are in close contact on satellite technology at the Russia-Africa Summit in Moscow.
- Putin said contact with Musk is important so Russia's Rassvet and Starlink satellites do not interfere with each other in orbit.
- Starlink has launched roughly 13,000 satellites, while only a couple dozen Rassvet satellites are in orbit, according to online trackers.
- Ukrainian President Zelenskyy announced that Starlink and Starshield operations have been restored after roughly ten days of restriction.
