Man accused of 14 attempted murders in train and street knife attacks goes on trial

The trial of Anthony Williams, accused of 14 counts of attempted murder in knife attacks, has opened at Cambridge Crown Court.

• Williams, 33, denies 14 counts of attempted murder over attacks on an LNER train and in Peterborough and east London.
• Prosecutor Christopher Paxton KC told jurors Williams asked passenger Stephen Crean "do you want to die?" before stabbing him.
• The London-bound train made an unscheduled stop at Huntingdon, which Paxton said ended the attack.
• Williams previously admitted wounding 12 people but denies the attempted murder charges.
