Egyptian Hospital Performs 2,112 Free Cardiac Interventions in 10 Months

Egypt's Health Ministry announced Sheikh Zayed Specialized Hospital performed 2,112 free cardiac interventions between January and October 2026.

• The Health Ministry reported 2,112 free cardiac procedures at the hospital from January to October 2026.
• Spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said procedures included 760 diagnostic and 882 therapeutic catheterizations, plus 73 IVUS, 60 CTO, and 9 ROTA interventions.
• The hospital introduced 2026 services including transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), pulmonary valve replacement, and valve-in-valve implantation.
• Maha Ibrahim, head of the Specialized Medical Centers Authority, said the authority will continue equipping its hospitals with the latest medical technology.
