French prosecutors said a man charged over a shooting that killed one person and wounded seven admitted targeting people of Muslim, African or North African appearance.
- Kevin T, 39, was charged Thursday with murder and attempted murder in connection with a terrorist enterprise.
- The attack killed Pengo Bossio Wangi, a 26-year-old French-Congolese, and wounded seven people including a child.
- Prosecutor Olivier Christen said Kevin admitted targeting people of "Muslim, African or North African" appearance and chose the towns because he saw them as "a hotbed for Islamists."
- Christen said police found weapons, a copy of Mein Kampf, a Quran, a Bible, and far-right National Rally stickers in Kevin's home.
