Inter and Milan have unveiled plans for a 71,500-capacity Generali Stadium, set to replace San Siro from the 2031-32 season amid fan protests.
- The clubs revealed the €1.2 billion stadium design at Castello Sforzesco on Thursday, with construction expected to begin in 2028.
- Inter and Milan agreed a €650 million ($725 million) naming-rights deal with insurer Generali for the venue.
- Supporters protested at the unveiling, unfurling a banner reading "you will never extinguish the lights at San Siro."
- San Siro, bought by the clubs for €197 million last November, will be largely demolished once construction nears completion.
