EUFOR Chinook helicopter crash kills four in Bosnia

An EUFOR CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed during routine training in northern Bosnia on Thursday, killing four Italian nationals and injuring 11.

• EUFOR confirmed the CH-47 Chinook crashed during routine training in the Brcko region on Thursday.
• EUFOR said 11 people were injured and confirmed four dead; the Italian defence ministry said the victims were two soldiers and two Red Cross volunteers.
• The Italian government said all military helicopter crew and passengers on board were Italian nationals.
• A Brcko hospital spokesman said 15 people were on board and a fourth victim succumbed to injuries in hospital.
