Cairo closes Qasr El-Nil Bridge toward Tahrir Square for metal joint maintenance

Cairo's traffic authority has closed the Qasr El-Nil Bridge in the direction of Tahrir Square for emergency maintenance of its metal expansion joint on Friday.

• The Cairo Traffic Administration announced closure of the bridge entrance from Gezira Square from 12:05 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, October 30.
• Vehicles are being diverted left toward Gezira Street, then the October Bridge ramp toward downtown areas.
• The full bridge width toward Tahrir Square reopens to traffic at 12:00 PM once the maintenance work is completed.
