Prosecutor Riel Karmy-Jones KC told jurors the six women accusing Russell Brand came forward with "nothing to gain" and were not influenced by media coverage.
- Karmy-Jones said the accusers, who do not know one another, had not sought publicity and gained only "some closure" from testifying.
- She denied a 2023 Dispatches documentary had "such a subliminal hold" on the women that they invented or recast their accounts.
- Brand, 51, denies seven charges — three counts of rape, three of sexual assault and one of attempted indecent assault — over allegations spanning 1999 to 2009.
- Defence barrister Ian Winter KC is to deliver his closing speech on Monday.
