Hossam Hassan settles Egypt squad with 10 professionals for Malawi qualifiers

Egypt's technical staff, led by Hossam Hassan, has finalized the November squad plans ahead of two AFCON 2027 qualifiers against Malawi.
- Egypt's camp opens November 9, with the team facing Malawi on November 13 and 17 in rounds three and four of AFCON 2027 qualifying.
- The official list will be announced November 8, a technical-staff source said, with Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy and Modern Sport scorer Mohamed Mamdouh expected to be included.
- The source named 10 professionals — Salah, Marmoush, Abdel Moneim, Adel, Haitham Hassan, Hamza Abdel Karim, Abdel Majeed, Trezeguet, Rami Rabia and Omar Fayed — with Fayed first to be dropped if trimmed.
- EFA president Hani Abou Rida reconciled Hassan and El-Shenawy after the coach called the goalkeeper "finished," the source said.
