Egypt's Social Solidarity Ministry has placed a 65-year-old man found unconscious near Edfu into a care home after his family refused to receive him.

• Minister Maya Morsi directed Aswan's rapid intervention team to respond to the report about the man, found unconscious and fatigued near Edfu center.
• He was transported to hospital for treatment after being found in a state of unconsciousness and exhaustion.
• The team contacted his family to take him in, but family members refused to attend.
• After his health improved, the team coordinated with a care home and transferred him there.
