Solidarity ministry and Ain Shams University launch child psychological counseling diploma

Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity and Ain Shams University have begun the first cohort of a professional diploma in psychological counseling and support for children.

• The diploma launched at the university's Faculty of Education with the first cohort of students.
• The ministry awarded 30 scholarships to ministry staff and social care institutions, selected from more than 500 applicants.
• About 40 percent of the diploma's study hours are devoted to practical training in the ministry's child counseling centers.
• The program follows a cooperation protocol signed by Minister Maya Morsi and university president Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen in September 2026.
