Health Minister, Fayoum governor review governorate hospital projects

Egypt's Health Minister met Fayoum's governor to review the governorate's health projects, including new hospitals, a cancer center, and a blood bank.

• Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar received Fayoum Governor Mohamed Hani Ghanim to review national health projects in the governorate.
• The governorate's health plan for 2026/2027 includes nine projects providing 497 beds, 50 dialysis machines, and 14 operating rooms.
• Abdel Ghaffar directed accelerating work on the New Fayoum General Hospital, 43 percent complete with a 1.2 billion Egyptian pound cost.
• The minister also directed establishing a cancer center, blood bank, and psychiatric and addiction treatment hospital in Fayoum.
