Egypt's Climate Change Information Center warned Sunday of a sudden heat wave bringing temporary summer conditions to most of the country, with the peak expected Monday.
- Fahim said temperatures will rise rapidly from Sunday, approaching 35°C in Cairo and the Delta and over 37°C in parts of Middle and Upper Egypt.
- Fahim said the heat will run 8–10°C above seasonal normal in some areas and recede by Wednesday in the north and Thursday in the south.
- Fahim called for close monitoring of new plantings and fruit trees, citing the wave's autumn timing and rapid thermal fluctuation.
- Fahim issued seven recommendations for farmers, including keeping new crops watered and avoiding excessive nitrogen fertilization.
