Italian referee crew appointed for Barcelona–Aston Villa Champions League clash

UEFA has assigned Italian referee Davide Massa to officiate Barcelona's Champions League league-phase match against Aston Villa on Tuesday.

• UEFA announced Massa will referee Barcelona–Aston Villa on 3 November at Camp Nou, matchday four of the 2026–27 Champions League league phase.
• Massa is assisted by Italians Alessio Berti and Filippo Meli, with Fabio Maresca as fourth official and Germany's Bastian Dankert on VAR.
• The match is the second time Massa has officiated Barcelona, having refereed their 2–1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt last season.
• Barcelona enters the fixture after a 4–2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in matchday three, while Aston Villa has won all three league-phase matches.
