Egypt's industry minister tours digital manufacturing center at AOI's Helwan factory

Egypt's Industry Minister Khaled Hashem toured the Arab Organization for Industrialization's digital manufacturing center alongside AOI's chief and China's Dongfeng chairman.

• Hashem, AOI chairman Mohamed Abu Bakr, and Dongfeng's Wang Long toured the DMC center at the engines factory in Helwan.
• Hashem said the ministry aims to strengthen smart manufacturing, deepen local production, and integrate Egyptian industry into regional and global value chains.
• Abu Bakr said the center has localized production of components including water pumps serving the presidential "Decent Life" initiative.
• Abu Bakr said AOI will continue coordination with the ministry and discuss proposed cooperation with China's Dongfeng.
