London police have arrested 325 people at a Saturday protest supporting the banned Palestine Action group outside the US embassy in Nine Elms.
- The Metropolitan Police said on Sunday that 325 people were arrested, 320 for expressing support for a proscribed organisation under the Terrorism Act.
- Police figures put arrests linked to the group at over 4,000 since it was proscribed in July 2025.
- The UK Supreme Court is to review the ban after a co-founder won permission to appeal, and the Home Office said it will defend the decision.
- Those detained included Margaret Owen, a 94-year-old lawyer, as Amnesty International UK criticised the arrests and called for the ban to be lifted.
- The UK Supreme Court hearing on the proscription begins Wednesday and concludes Thursday with judgment reserved.
