Egyptian security forces arrest suspects in three assaults captured on viral videos

Egyptian security forces have arrested suspects in three separate assault incidents in Qalyub, Sharqia and Cairo, all captured on videos shared online.

• The Qalyub public prosecution ordered the accused in the assault-and-dragging case held four days pending investigation and released the 29-year-old victim, unless wanted for other cases.

• Police in Sharqia arrested two farmers for assaulting a worker with a white weapon on October 24; they confessed and directed officers to the weapon.

• Police in Cairo's Maasara district arrested three people in a brawl on October 24 fought with a white weapon and a wooden stick, recovering both weapons.
