Egypt expands Ramadan 2027 price-reduction outlets from 284 to 400

Egypt's Ministry of Supply has expanded its Ramadan 2027 price-reduction initiative, increasing participating outlets nationwide from 284 to 400.

• Minister Sherif Farouk convened a review roughly 100 days before Ramadan of the basic-goods price initiative.
• The meeting decided to raise the number of discount outlets from 284 to 400 by adding 116 new locations across Egypt.
• Farouk directed the General Authority for Supply Commodities to fund the Holding Company to secure stock through March 2027, covering Ramadan.
• The ministry will offer meat, poultry and fish at Ahlan Ramadan fairs at 20–25 percent below market prices.
