Balde accepts Barcelona exit as Flick questions his confidence

Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde has accepted he may leave the club in January after coach Hansi Flick said he lacks confidence in his performances.

• Balde, 23, has grown resigned to leaving Barcelona in the winter window to gain regular playing time.
• Flick said before Saturday's Alavés match that Balde lacks the confidence and conviction needed in his current performance.
• Barcelona is planning to sell Balde in January to fund a defensive signing, Spanish press reported.
• Manchester United and Manchester City asked about Balde last summer, and the player is drawn to trying his luck in England.
