Egypt's Ministry of Education has set the teaching incentive's payment rules, specifying which teachers qualify for the monthly allowance raised to 2,100 pounds.
- The ministry said teachers on medical leave approved by the medical committee and those on health-insurance leave do not receive the incentive.
- Teachers seconded to exam work, on maternity leave, or assigned to sports-arbitration missions are also ineligible.
- The ministry confirmed single-class and part-time teachers qualify when they meet their assigned teaching quotas; kindergarten teachers qualify even without a full quota because they remain with children all day.
- French, computer, art, music, and physical-education teachers receive the incentive if they meet the legal quota, while assigned deputies do not.
