Labour has withdrawn from coalition agreements with the Green party at 11 councils after the Greens adopted a policy defining Zionism as racism.
- Labour said cooperation would cease at 11 authorities, including Sheffield, Warwick and Lewes, after local Green groups failed to disown the October motion.
- Labour chair Bridget Phillipson said the motion "crosses a line and we cannot work with any party that supports it at any level of government".
- The motion, passed by Green members in October, calls for a single Palestinian state in place of Israel and rejects a two-state solution.
- The Greens said they were "hugely disappointed" by the move, saying it would harm residents in affected areas.
