Cairo governor inspects development of historic districts

Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber toured four historic districts to inspect heritage-revival projects underway across the capital.

• Saber conducted an inspection tour of Imam al-Shafi'i, Sayyida Aisha, Sayyida Nafisa and Sur Magra al-Uyun, joined by Deputy Governor Ashraf Mansour.
• He followed restoration and maintenance works on the Shahin King shrine area and the Imam al-Shafi'i square.
• He reviewed the second phase of the Sur Magra al-Uyun project, including the tourist walkway and tree planting.
• Saber said the works implement President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's directives to upgrade historical areas and remove unplanned construction.
