(opens the publisher’s site)The Egyptian Drug Authority has listed four misleading social media ads promoting unregistered weight-loss products, including one featuring actress Dalia Mostafa.
- The authority flagged ads for Exolime, Retatrutide, Pro Cut, and Reta as misleading promotions of products it has not registered.
- The authority logged three violations for Exolime ads on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, which were deleted from Mostafa's accounts after the warning.
- Yasser Rajai, the authority's assistant head, said monitoring flagged and corrected 640 ad violations and filed 719 reports against pages advertising unknown-source drugs.
- The authority urged citizens to verify product status on its website and report violations through hotline 15301.
