(opens the publisher’s site)Al-Ahly has confirmed midfielder Emam Ashour is fully fit and excluded for technical reasons, while a source attributed injury rumors to his agent.
- On November 2, Al-Ahly published a statement confirming Emam Ashour is fit and that coach Al-Hussein Amouta excluded him from the squad for technical reasons.
- Amouta has omitted Ashour for three consecutive matches; his last appearance was against Qana in the Egyptian league.
- A source told Yalla Kora that club officials, displeased, blamed Ashour's agent Mohamed Kafta for spreading injury reports that prompted the statement.
- Former Zamalek player Ahmed Hossam Mido urged Ashour to "fear God in your work" and focus on regaining his form, denying any campaign against him.
