Egypt's Education Ministry details purpose of weekly student assessments

Egypt's Ministry of Education has reiterated the purpose of its weekly student assessments while making the assessment platform available to students.

• Shadi Zalta, the education ministry's spokesperson, said the weekly assessments measure student comprehension and that results are uploaded to the ministry for data analysis.
• Zalta said the assessments encourage regular daily study and prevent lessons from accumulating across the school year.
• The ministry has released an online link for weekly assessments and performance tasks covering primary, preparatory, and secondary grades.
