US strikes on an Iranian island and renewed tanker attacks have pushed the US-Iran standoff over the Strait of Hormuz toward a wider conflict.
- Trump confirmed US forces struck an anti-aircraft facility on Qeshm Island on Tuesday, calling the operation a "minor attack" that "wasn't war."
- The IRGC said four oil tankers were destroyed by naval mines and its forces seized two vessels; UKMTO reported a tanker struck by two projectiles northeast of Oman with no casualties.
- Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said Washington's response to Iran's seven conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz was "unconvincing."
- The International Maritime Organization said the strait is unsafe for navigation, citing 125 verified attacks on commercial ships there.
