Police arrest woman, companion for assaulting Suez building guard over elevator dispute

Egypt's Interior Ministry said a video circulating online showed a woman and another person assaulting a building guard in Suez over elevator use.

• The guard filed a complaint on November 1 accusing the woman of attacking him after he refused her elevator use per a building owners' association decision.
• Police identified and arrested the woman, a housewife, and the person accompanying her in the video.
• Both suspects confessed to the assault, and the public prosecution has taken over the investigation.
