(opens the publisher’s site)Mohamed Ouahbi has named Morocco's 26-man squad for their AFCON 2027 qualifiers against Niger on November 13 and 17.
- Ouahbi announced the squad at a Wednesday press conference, featuring returning Youssef En-Nesyri and Reda Belkhyan plus 20-year-old Ayoub Oufkir.
- Moroccans Mohamed Chibi of Pyramids and Mahmoud Bentayek of Zamalek were omitted from the list.
- Ouahbi said call-ups reflect players' ability to fit the national team's tactical system, not club playing minutes, citing Amine Harit's absence.
- Morocco leads Group 1 on six points after sweeping Gabon and Lesotho, ahead of Niger's three points.
