Democrats Win Both Chambers in 2026 US Midterm Elections

Democrats have secured majorities in the Senate and House in the 2026 midterm elections, drawing public responses from Barack Obama and Donald Trump.

• Democrats won control of the Senate and House of Representatives, including victories in Republican strongholds such as Texas and North Carolina.
• Obama stated on X that American voters sent a clear message, seeking policies that unite rather than divide people.
• Obama said the administration has two years left in power and urged preventing further damage while laying the groundwork for the future.
• Trump acknowledged Democrats performed well, attributing his party's losses to the Iran war and rising fuel prices, and said he does not regret the war decision.
