Iran's Revolutionary Guard said Thursday that two oil tankers and a tugboat caught fire after attempting unauthorized crossings of the Strait of Hormuz.
- The Guard said one tanker struck a naval mine crossing a passage south of the strait.
- The Guard said a second tanker caught fire exiting the route in the eastern part of the waterway.
- The Guard said a tugboat that approached the second tanker to help extinguish the fire also caught fire.
- The Guard warned that attempts to break the law in the strait will increase financial damages and political defeats for the United States.
