Al-Azhar University Hospital in Assiut corrects severe spinal curvature in two children

A surgical team at Al-Azhar University Hospital in Assiut has corrected severe spinal curvature in two children using the gradual traction technique.

• The hospital's orthopedic surgery team, led by department head Ibrahim Abu Amira, performed the procedure on the two children.
• The surgery corrected the curvature and improved both children's mobility and health.
• Abu Amira said the hospital received the two cases and subjected them to precise examinations and comprehensive medical evaluation before deciding to operate.
• Both children are now under intensive medical follow-up to ensure their conditions stabilize.
