Madbouly approves new teaching incentive for university and Al-Azhar faculty

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has issued a decree granting a monthly teaching incentive to faculty members at Egyptian universities and Al-Azhar University.

• Madbouly issued the decision based on Cabinet approval, covering professors, assistant professors and teaching assistants.
• The incentive amounts to 1,000 Egyptian pounds per month, paid for nine months starting October 1 of each academic year.
• The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and the Higher Education Minister will set the incentive's eligibility criteria.
• The incentive will be funded from the institutions' own resources under the wages and employee compensation budget chapter.
