(opens the publisher’s site)Egypt's technical staff plans to announce its squad for the Malawi matches on November 8, ahead of a November 9 training camp.
- Egypt will play Malawi on November 13 at Cairo International Stadium and November 17 at Bingu International Stadium in AFCON qualifiers.
- The technical staff scheduled the announcement for November 8, after Egypt Cup round-of-32 matches conclude, to avoid injuries affecting selections.
- League top scorer Mahmoud Mamdouh, Al-Ahly's Omar El-Saei, Ahmed Eid and Tawfik Mohamed, and El-Qanah's Mody Shalata are near selection.
- A team source said Imam Ashour and Mohamed Hani remain in the main list, pending Ashour's medical check, and denied reports of 11 Al-Ahly passports.
