Egypt's Cabinet Media Center has clarified that using artificial intelligence to renew religious discourse will not replace scholars, imams, or mosque preachers.
- The Cabinet Media Center, citing the Ministry of Endowments, said AI use in renewing religious discourse does not mean dispensing with scholars and specialists.
- The Ministry stated that AI-generated content undergoes scientific, jurisprudential, and Sharia review by scholars and specialist committees before being made public.
- The Ministry confirmed mosque preachers will continue holding religious rites, including the Friday sermon, without any preacher being replaced.
- The Ministry said opening its AI center does not mean abandoning traditional advocacy activities, which continue in mosques and public venues.
