Channel 4 has axed Married at First Sight UK after female participants alleged rape and sexual misconduct during production, following two reviews.
- Channel 4 removed all episodes from streaming and linear services after the allegations aired on the BBC's Panorama in May.
- Chief executive Priya Dogra said the reviews' recommendations would fundamentally alter the show's format and that it had "run its course" over 10 years.
- Series six, in production when the review was commissioned, will not be broadcast, nor will the Second Married at First Sight spinoff resume production.
- A review by law firm Clyde & Co found the welfare protocols were compliant with Ofcom's broadcasting code, with no findings of breach.
