Sisi attends wedding of fallen officer's daughter, fulfilling 2018 promise

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has attended the marriage-contract ceremony of the daughter of a fallen armed-forces officer, honoring an eight-year-old promise.

• Sisi attended the marriage ceremony of the daughter of Brigadier General Mohamed Saad Mostafa Ayyad, killed in November 2014 during national service.
• The presidential spokesman published photos and said Sisi was responding to a request the daughter made at a police academy graduation ceremony in 2018.
• The spokesman quoted Sisi telling the daughter in 2018: "If it is enough for you that we attend your wedding, we will attend."
