Israeli forces on Tuesday demolished roughly half the structures of the Bir al-Maskub Bedouin community east of Jerusalem, a target of the E1 settlement plan.
- On Tuesday, Israeli forces demolished about half of Bir al-Maskub's structures in the E1 zone, displacing residents, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said.
- The ministry warned the demolition shifts the E1 plan from planning to execution and threatens the community's remaining structures.
- Israeli rights groups Peace Now, Ir Amim, and Bimkom said the operation is the first known demolition inside the E1 zone and could spread to other Bedouin communities.
- Ma'ale Adumim settlement Mayor Guy Yifrah said the demolitions were carried out on the municipality's initiative.
