- The patient landed at RAF Northolt on Thursday and was transported to the Royal Free Hospital's high-level isolation unit in north London.
- It is the first confirmed case of a UK national contracting Ebola in the current outbreak, which DR Congo's health ministry declared in May.
- The outbreak has surpassed 10,000 cases and 5,000 deaths, with a fatality rate of 48.6% reported at the end of last month.
