Yemeni government forces announce recapture of positions south of Taiz

Yemen's armed forces said they retook sites in al-Sarari and Sanamat, south of Taiz governorate, during fighting with the Houthis.

• The Yemeni armed forces announced on Thursday the recapture of several positions in al-Sarari, in Sabr al-Mawadim district, and Sanamat, in al-Masarrakh district, south of Taiz.
• The forces said they are fighting alongside the Popular Resistance in al-Masarrakh, al-Shaqab and al-Aqrud fronts, with intermittent clashes around Taiz city.
• The armed forces stated that warplanes and drones struck Houthi positions and equipment, destroying several vehicles.
• The military claimed dozens of Houthi fighters were killed or wounded in the strikes and clashes.
