Northumbria Police sent at least six cars after a resident reported two men carrying archery equipment near a water reservoir outside Newcastle.
- Police said they received a report after 1:55 p.m. Wednesday of two men carrying a bow and arrows near the Millitary Road reservoir in Harlow Hill.
- Officers stopped the car carrying Dedić and a friend in Darras Hall, searched it and seized the bow and arrows, Northumbria Police said.
- The force said the equipment appeared intended for recreational use, that there was no threat to the public and that inquiries continue.
- Dedić, 24, is expected to be available for Newcastle's Premier League match against Fulham on Saturday, and the club does not plan disciplinary action.
