Ibrahim Hassan denies reports that Egypt will dismiss his brother Hossam as coach

Reports said Egypt's football association had decided to dismiss coach Hossam Hassan and his twin brother Ibrahim; Ibrahim denied it.

• Ibrahim Hassan, the Egypt team director, denied reports that his brother Hossam would be dismissed as head coach, saying "there is nothing to it."
• Reports said the Egyptian Football Association, headed by Hani Abu Rida, settled on dismissing the Hassan twins after the two Malawi qualifiers.
• Hossam Hassan will not coach Egypt in the two Malawi matches because of a three-match suspension imposed by FIFA.
• Tariq Soliman will lead Egypt from the bench in the two Malawi matches, the first on November 13 at Cairo International Stadium.
