Al-Ahli has reopened discussions on appointing German coach Ole Werner to replace Dutch manager Marino Bosic after a 6-1 league loss to Al-Shabab.

• Al-Ahli lost 6-1 to Al-Shabab in the twelfth round of the Saudi Pro League.
• Asharq Al-Awsat reported that Ole Werner's name has returned to Al-Ahli's discussions as a candidate to succeed Bosic.
• Werner accepted an €11 million-a-year offer from Al-Ahli in August but withdrew from the deal, saying he wanted rest.
• Bosic has managed 18 matches since his appointment, recording 11 wins, two draws and five defeats.
