Suez governorate's workshops and garages administration has built a locally manufactured unit to suck up dust and solid waste, and tested it on the old corniche.
- Governor Hany Rashad attended the trial run of the unit on the old Suez corniche, alongside deputy governor Mohamed Allam and other executive officials.
- Rashad said the machine would support the cleaning system in narrow streets and areas difficult to reach with conventional equipment.
- The unit was designed to suck up accumulated dust and waste around trash bins, roadsides and pavements, and to collect dry leaves.
- The governorate said local manufacturing of the unit lowers the cost of comparable equipment and reduces public spending.
