Asala Nasri says jewellery was stolen from her Detroit hotel room

Syrian singer Asala Nasri has said a jewellery box was stolen from her hotel room in Detroit during the final stop of her US concert tour.

• Nasri said she found the box missing from her bag on the morning after her Detroit concert, the last date of the tour.
• She said the box held pieces bearing her late father's name and image, along with gifts from her husband, children and friends.
• Nasri said police came to the hotel after she reported the theft and that she had received no news on the jewellery for about a week.
