Usman Khawaja has said in his autobiography that Australia's entire 2018 touring party knew of the sandpaper ball-tampering scheme and used it in an earlier Test.
- Khawaja wrote that “all of us” knew about the plot, not only the batters, the bowlers or the staff.
- He said the team first used sandpaper during the second Test against South Africa at Port Elizabeth.
- Cricket Australia said all relevant information presented to it had been properly considered and it remained comfortable with its integrity process findings.
- Pat Cummins said the 2018 investigations had answered every question and that the team had moved on.
