Israeli strikes and sweeps escalate across southern Lebanon

Israeli forces struck towns across southern Lebanon and swept the border after an infiltration warning, as Beirut updated its war toll.

• Israeli airstrikes hit Kafr Tibnit, Tallousa and Mansouri, and forces set fires in Khiam, including at the Al-Mabarrat school.
• After a night-time drone warning near Arab al-Aramsha, the Israeli military said it does not rule out an air or ground infiltration from Lebanon.
• The army deployed checkpoints on northern roads and conducted ground and air sweeping operations in the border area.
• Lebanon's Health Ministry reported 4,386 killed and 12,424 injured in the war since March 2.
