BBC Radio 1 schedule shake-up sees six presenters leave and new hosts join

BBC Radio 1 has announced a schedule shake-up, with six presenters leaving the station and new hosts including TikTok stars joining the lineup.

• BBC Radio 1 announced that Dean McCullough, Melvin Odoom, Rickie Haywood-Williams, Nat O'Leary, James Cusack, and Swarzy will leave the station.
• TikTok stars GK Barry and Charley Marlowe will join the lineup, with Barry to present a series of shows starting in September.
• Jeremiah Asiamah will replace Haywood-Williams and Odoom, while Danny Mylo and Rosie Madison will take over the Early Breakfast slot from McCullough.
• Charlie Hedges will remain as a Live Lounge host, and Lauren Layfield will host a new show, The Official Chart: First Look, from Birmingham.
