Egyptian Ministry Reveals Details of Kidnapping Claim as Family Dispute

The Interior Ministry has disclosed the circumstances behind a woman's accusation that her husband kidnapped their daughter in al-Sharqiyya.

• The woman, who posted a video on social media, claimed her husband took their daughter and prevented her from seeing her, and that his brothers insulted her.
• She told police she had filed a complaint at the Second of 10th of Ramadan police station.
• The husband, arrested with the child, denied the accusation, saying his wife left home voluntarily due to disagreements and left the child with him until the disputes were resolved.
• The woman confirmed her husband's account, and legal measures have been taken.
