Pinwheel Launches Retro-Inspired Landline Phone for Kids

Pinwheel has announced the launch of Pinwheel Home, a Wi-Fi-based landline phone designed for children ages 5 to 10 as an alternative to smartphones.

• Pinwheel announced the launch of Pinwheel Home, a modern landline phone that operates over Wi-Fi and is built solely for voice calls.
• The device features a Caregiver Portal through which parents approve contacts, block unknown callers, and set calling schedules and time limits.
• Pinwheel Home comes in two models: the Spark at $68 and the Classic at $79, with calls between devices free via the Pinwheel Circle service.
• The company said future updates will add three-way calling and allow the device to integrate with Pinwheel’s smartwatches and smartphones.
