Bonnie Tyler, the gravel-voiced singer known for 'Total Eclipse of the Heart', died aged 75 after emergency intestinal surgery in Portugal.
- Tyler died aged 75 after undergoing emergency intestinal surgery in Portugal earlier this year.
- In May she was placed into an induced coma following the surgery; her spokesperson later said she was out of the coma but remained "very unwell and in intensive care."
- Her 1983 hit 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' reached one billion streams on Spotify this year; the video has been viewed over 1.3 billion times on YouTube.
- Tyler represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 and received an MBE in the 2022 Birthday Honours for services to music.
